I love travelling, exploring new places and finding out as much as I can. Andalucia in Spain is my home and has been since 1997 although I have been working in Spain for more years that I care to remember!

Since I was old enough to travel I did just that, first France and then Spain in the late 1960's. Spain won me over, the people, the food and of course the climate are all very agreeable.

Now lliving in the vast region of Andalucia I find there is so much to write about its history, culture and landscape. As a writer the traditional and unusual fascinate me and I take every opportunity to travel, gather information and take photos.

Since coming to live in southern Spain and having a very big garden I have enjoyed learning about how the Mediterranean garden grows. I've had to! The pleasure is that things grow quickly but the downside is the fierce heat and need for plenty of watering if the wrong plants are chosen,

Animal welfare plays a big part in my life here in Spain too and I do volunteer work with a local animal charity who cares for abandoned dogs. For this charity I write both web and newspaper articles.

As a day job I teach English and when there is any spare time I continue to research and write a guide book on Granada.
